INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
Unless specifically noted, The Colorado Trust is the sole owner of the information collected on the www.coloradotrust.org website. We collect information from our web users at several different points on our website.
Generally, The Colorado Trust uses information for the purpose by which it was originally collected (e.g., to fulfill your orders for documents and publications, and to respond to your career inquiries and requests for other information).
The Colorado Trust does not share personal information with third parties, except as needed to fulfill requested services using intermediaries or agents, without users' express consent. Though we make every effort to preserve your privacy, we may disclose personal information when we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with an appropriate law enforcement investigation, current judicial proceeding, a court order or other legal process.
Aggregate Information (Non-personally Identifiable)
The Colorado Trust may share aggregated demographic information that is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
Third Party Intermediaries
The Colorado Trust may use third parties to handle your personal information, acting solely on our behalf. Such entities do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
Correcting/Updating/Deleting/Deactivating Personal Information
If your personally identifiable information changes (e.g., last name, email address, etc.) you may update your profileLINK. If you no longer wish to receive information from The Colorado Trust, you may opt out (please see the opt-out section above).
To receive new information that is posted to our website, you must first complete The Colorado Trust's sign-up form. When subscribing, you may provide contact information (e.g., name, email and postal address). We use this information to contact you about services on our site about which you have expressed interest.
If you are only requesting publications from the site, we request the same basic information from you via our order form. You must provide contact information (e.g., name, email and shipping address). This information is used to fill your order(s); if we have trouble processing an order, the information is used to contact you.
It is optional to provide information about your interests to better facilitate your interaction with the website.
On rare occasions, it may be necessary to send out a strictly service-related announcement (e.g., if our web service is temporarily suspended for maintenance). Generally, you may not opt out of such communications, although you may deactivate your account. These communications are not promotional in nature.
At various points on our website where we request information, users of The Colorado Trust website are given the opportunity to opt out of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site. For example, our order form includes an opt-out mechanism - users who order a publication from us, but don't want any secondary material or information, can keep their email address off of our lists.
If you no longer wish to receive The Trust's newsletter or other communications, you may opt out of receiving these communications by visiting our sign-up page and selecting your preference not to receive information.
The Colorado Trust stores information collected through log files, interest boxes and/or third parties to create a profile of users who provide us their information. A profile is personally identifiable information that we may use to tailor your visit to our website and to direct pertinent communications to you. We do not share your profile with any third parties.
