On Sept. 17, 2015, professor john a. powell, director of the Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society at University of California, Berkeley, discussed structural racialization, the concept of “targeted universalism” and more at the final event in the 2015 Health Equity Learning Series. More than 200 attendees sold out the History Colorado Center in Denver, and hundreds more live-streamed powell’s talk online around the state and country.
