Nurse-Family Partnership and Invest in Kids (2025)

As part of The Colorado Trust’s commemoration of its 40th anniversary this year, we’re highlighting past grantees and programs like Nurse-Family Partnership and Invest in Kids. Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) pairs first-time mothers with specially trained nurses for regular home visits and support before and after delivery. This voluntary program, free of charge to participants, aims to build a strong foundation for newborns and their families, and improve both short- and long-term health and economic outcomes. The Colorado Trust funded one of the research trials of the NFP model, and later funded the work of Invest in Kids, the nonprofit overseeing NFP implementation in all 64 Colorado counties.
