Community Partnerships for Health Equity (2025)

This video examines the Community Partnerships for Health Equity strategy, which ran from 2014 to 2022. It focuses on Fort Morgan Cultures United for Progress, a group of community members that participated in the strategy and helped create lasting change in the northeast Colorado city of Fort Morgan.

Colorado Healthy Communities (2025)

The Piñon Project Family Resource Center was founded in 1994 with the help of Colorado Trust funding, the nonprofit provides a variety of programs and resources to families living in Dolores and Montezuma counties in the southwest part of the state. The Piñon Project Family Resource Center is one of the few organizations to be a grantee within four of The Colorado Trust’s most significant funding initiatives over the years.

Nurse-Family Partnership and Invest in Kids (2025)

September 2025

Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) pairs first-time mothers with specially trained nurses for regular home visits and support before and after delivery. This voluntary program, free of charge to participants, aims to build a strong foundation for newborns and their families, and improve both short- and long-term health and economic outcomes. The Colorado Trust funded one of the research trials of the NFP model, and later funded the work of Invest in Kids, the nonprofit overseeing NFP implementation in all 64 Colorado counties.

Rural Philanthropy Days® (2025)

June 2025

The Colorado Trust has funded and participated in the Community Resource Center’s Rural Philanthropy Days program since 2009. Rural Philanthropy Days connects nonprofits and funders in order to improve health and well-being in rural regions of the state.
