The Colorado Trust Names New Controller

DENVER, COLO.—Deborah McCuiston has been named as the new Controller for The Colorado Trust. In this role, McCuiston is responsible for collaborating with and assisting the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in supervising and coordinating The Trust’s financial functions. She comes to The Trust from her position as Corporate Accounting Manager for Geovic Mining Corporation.

“I am excited to welcome Debbie McCuiston to the foundation,” said Debbie DeMuth, Vice President and CFO of The Colorado Trust. “Debbie’s extensive experience makes her a perfect fit to oversee the financial aspects of our grantmaking.”

In her position with Geovic Mining Corporation, McCuiston managed all accounting functions, including preparing financial documents, overseeing reporting and budgeting responsibilities. She previously served as interim controller for River Ridge Investments, LLC in Columbus, Ohio and held multiple senior-level accounting positions for On Command Corporation, UAP Holding Corp., ICG Communications, Inc. and XCEL Energy, Inc. McCuiston is a certified public accountant and holds bachelor’s degrees from Metropolitan State College and the University of Northern Colorado.
