The History of BIPOC Social Movements in Colorado: The Chicano Movement

“The History of BIPOC Social Movements in Colorado” was a monthly recurring education series held in Denver and online during the fall of 2023. The events were facilitated by Celesté Martinez, owner of the racial equity coaching and consulting firm Celestial Alegría. Each session examined the history of different social movements in Colorado involving and led by Black, Indigenous, Latinx and/or other people of color. This session, from Oct. 12, 2023, took a closer look at the Chicano movement.
