Building and Bridging Power Strategy: Final Evaluation Report, Media and Narrative Component
An overview of the evaluation framework for the media and narrative power components of the Building and Bridging Power strategy, as assessed by Dilliplane Consulting. This report details how BBP’s targeted investments in media, including support for established outlets, community-based media, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, were designed to develop narrative power and shift public conversations around health equity. Through funding for five major media outlets, more than fifteen community-focused organizations administered by the Colorado Media Project, BBP fostered accountability journalism, met the critical information needs of diverse communities, and elevated underrepresented voices. The evaluation highlights how these collective efforts helped shape policy solutions and ensured that community perspectives are at the center of Colorado’s health equity narrative.
