Healthy Aging Initiative Organizational Capacity Assessment

An independent evaluation was conducted by the National Research Center to determine whether providing technical assistance to build the capacity of grantee organizations helped to improve their ability to serve seniors. Grantees reported program-level outcomes using the Healthy Aging Initiative Organizational Capacity Assessment.

CommunityConnections: Summer Edition 2006

Includes an update on The Trust's Colorado 100k Lives Campaign, as well as an announcement about The Trust's Healthy Aging initiative to support senior-serving organizations. Also features The Trust's Immigrant Integration effort and a grant to the Metro Denver Health & Wellness Commission to help prevent obesity. Additionally, The Trust recognizes a model grantee and welcomes new board and staff members.

Policy Brief on Mental Health Disparities in Colorado – Summary

An overview of the need to provide quality mental health care for individuals from all racial and ethnic backgrounds. Based on an extensive literature review, input from community members and an advisory group comprised of Colorado community mental health leaders, as well as input from participants in the 2006 Colorado Mental Health Disparities Summit, the brief sets forth a number of policy recommendations to strengthen care.
