About Our Stories
The Colorado Trust’s vision is that all Coloradans have fair and equal opportunities to lead healthy, productive lives regardless of race, ethnicity, income or where we live. As part of our efforts towards achieving this vision, we provide an outlet for reliable, nonpartisan information about issues that impact the health and well-being of the people living in our state.
To that end, we contract with professional journalists and photographers to report on and write stories about these issues. Some of the stories are also written by Colorado Trust staff members. All of the articles are edited and ultimately approved for publication by The Colorado Trust’s communications department, which includes former professional journalists. All of our stories are translated into Spanish by a professional translator. Outside of the communications department, other staff members at The Colorado Trust are occasionally (but not always) consulted prior to the publication of a given story. If Colorado Trust grantees appear in stories, we identify them as such.
Our written content is available to be republished for free in English, Spanish or both, with proper attribution. Use of photography that appears with written content may incur a usage fee, to be arranged directly with the photographer. Please questions [at] coloradotrust.org (subject: Colorado%20Trust%20Stories%20Query) (contact us) if you would like to republish one or more of our stories and/or arrange for photo usage.
