The Colorado Trust Names Two New Trustees
Gail Schoettler, new trustee for The Colorado TrustOn July 7, The Colorado Trust announced the election to its Board of Trustees of Gail S. Schoettler, former Lieutenant Governor and State Treasurer of Colorado, and an advocate for the research and development of improved medical diagnostic equipment and treatments; and the Reverend R.J. Ross, Founder and President of the Samaritan Institute and a pivotal figure in the provision of outpatient counseling, wellness programs, and consultation and training for clergy and other professionals. Their five-year terms will begin in January 2007.
Ms. Schoettler and Rev. Ross will fill two vacancies on The Trust's nine-person board, which will occur when the terms of Jean C. Jones and Sister Lillian Murphy are completed at the end of 2006. At that time, Mrs. Jones, President & CEO of Girl Scouts - Mile Hi Council, and Sr. Murphy, President & CEO of Mercy Housing, Inc., will each have served 10 years on The Trust's board. Two five-year terms is the maximum term allowed for trustees of The Colorado Trust.
