Conclusion

Policymakers,providers, government, foundation and other community leaders and stakeholders are encouraged to review all of the issues and recommendations identified as they work together to develop comprehensive solutions to address mental health disparities in Colorado. Enhancing mental health services for all Coloradans will require broadening our perspective and worldview and taking bold steps in a new direction. This new direction will need to recognize and value “cultural diversity and will happen only when we travel together in an attempt to bridge the chasm of mistrust and resentments.”184
