National Health Policy
Many efforts to achieve access to health in Colorado are shaped and informed by policies considered outside our state. Federal laws have significant implications for Colorado's health policies and overall fiscal condition, and laws considered or passed in other states may serve as models to be considered in Colorado. While The Colorado Trust does not take a position on any proposed legislation, it tracks legislation in Congress, the federal budget debate, federal regulatory activity and national policy discussions that may have implications for Colorado health policy.
Helping States Achieve Health Policy Excellence
An independent organization of state health policymakers dedicated to helping states achieve excellence in health policy and practice, the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) provides a forum for constructive, nonpartisan work across branches and agencies of state government on critical health issues facing the states.
